Choosing ‘Remember my choice’ saves one item named sl-notice-v1 in your browser’s local storage. It records that you dismissed the notice and includes an expiry time of 180 days. It does not contain your name, email address or browsing history. The page reads it to decide whether to show the notice again.
The saved record is used only on this domain. After its expiry, these pages ignore it and remove it when you next visit. Clearing browser data or moving to a different browser or domain also means the notice can appear again.
Using the site without saving
‘Dismiss without saving’ closes the notice for the current page view without creating that storage item. The notice may appear again on another page or visit. You can reopen it through ‘Cookie settings’ in the footer and remove an existing saved choice using the control on this page. Browser settings can also clear local storage.
